The Liverpool Battle of Atlantic Memorial committee has launched a £600,000 funding appeal to raise money for a memorial, dedicated to all combatants, men and women of all nationalities, which it hopes to be positioned at the Pier Head on Liverpool’s waterfront.
The committee has created a Go Fund Me page for donations. Cheques can be made payable to The Merchant Navy Association Liverpool Branch and sent to Bill Anderson, 53 Redington Road, Allerton, Liverpool, L19 4UB.
