Due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has announced that its marine weather service on BBC Radio 4 will change for the foreseeable future.
From Monday 30 March 2020, the weather bulletins will be broadcast as follows:
- 00:48 BBC Radio 4 LW, FM Gale warnings, shipping forecast, weather reports from coastal stations and the inshore waters forecast
- 05:33 BBC Radio 4 LW, FM Gale warnings, shipping forecast, weather reports from coastal stations and the inshore waters forecast
- 12:00 (weekdays only) BBC Radio 4 LW, FM Gale warnings, shipping forecast
- 18:00 (weekends only) BBC Radio 4 LW, FM Gale warnings, shipping forecast
